This 12-week Alberta Apprentice & Industry Training-accredited program is designed for individuals with little to no carpentry experience and provides them with the skills and confidence to become a first-year carpenter apprentice. Successful students will complete their first year of technical training before starting work as a carpenter, enhancing their productivity and employability as a first-year apprentice.
Successful students will receive a certificate of completion from CLAC Career Development College, and the opportunity to challenge AIT’s 1st period theory and practical exams. Students who pass AIT exams will be credited for their first-year apprenticeship once their on-the-job hours are complete.
