Pre-Employment 1st Period Carpenter

This 12-week Alberta Apprentice & Industry Training-accredited program is designed for individuals with little to no carpentry experience and provides them with the skills and confidence to become a first-year carpenter apprentice. Successful students will complete their first year of technical training before starting work as a carpenter, enhancing their productivity and employability as a first-year apprentice.

Certification

Successful students will receive a certificate of completion from CLAC Career Development College, and the opportunity to challenge AIT’s 1st period theory and practical exams. Students who pass AIT exams will be credited for their first-year apprenticeship once their on-the-job hours are complete.

Access to highly skilled instructors with active involvement in the carpentry industry ensures our students receive quality training that meets current industry standards.
