myCLAC.ca is your gateway to important information about your workplace, collective agreement, and more.
CLAC offers more than just the protections and benefits outlined in your collective agreement. When you sign a CLAC membership card, you can receive discounts, scholarships, awards, opportunities to serve as a leader in your workplace, and more.
You now can sign a CLAC membership application card online on our portal, myCLAC.ca.
Paying dues doesn’t automatically make you a member. Because CLAC believes in freedom of association, we allow you to choose whether or not to sign a union membership card. Whether you sign a card or not, we will fully represent you in your workplace.
Even if you do not sign a CLAC membership card, you will still benefit from CLAC representation—contract negotiations, grievance resolution, trained stewards, and much more. In Canadian labour relations, to pay for the cost of representation, all employees represented by the union must pay union dues. In return, the union must represent all workers equally and fairly—whether they have signed a card or not. This compromise is known as the Rand Formula. We won’t use your dues to support partisan politics—we use your dues to represent you.
There is no added fee to become a member.
All CLAC members have access to MemberPerks—a member benefit program designed to perk up your everyday life.
MemberPerks can help you save thousands of dollars every year with special discounts on home electronics and entertainment, restaurants, health and wellness, apparel, and so much more.
