Indigenous Initiatives

Our innovative training-to-employment programs help Canada’s Indigenous peoples get the skills training they need to get well-paying jobs in Canada’s construction industry, and help our signatory companies meet their human resources needs.

The programs are developed in partnership with Indigenous communities, industry stakeholders, and provincial and federal governments.

Each program is tailor-made to suit the community’s needs. The programs typically run between two weeks to sixteen weeks in length, depending on the program being delivered and the training needs of each Indigenous community. Participants also gain numerous safety tickets and are equipped to handle personal challenges through life skills and employment readiness training.

Once the training program ends, participants who meet the job placement criteria are placed with construction industry partners.

To learn how to create a program for your community, or to join as a partner, contact your local training team.
