Frank Kooger Award image

The Frank Kooger Apprenticeship Awards

Each year, we distribute several awards to apprentices in the construction trades who strive to excel and who are dedicated to becoming journeypersons in their trades.

These apprentice awards were created in memory of Frank Kooger, a well-respected CLAC representative who passed away in 2008 at the age of 55. Frank was a strong proponent of the trades.

The Frank Kooger Apprentice Awards

Several awards are given to a number of registered apprentices who have, at a minimum, officially completed their first year of trade school.

Recipients are chosen based on a combination of grades and recommendation by their school.

To apply, log in to myCLAC and visit the My Apprenticeship page to fill in an application form for the Frank Kooger Apprenticeship Awards.

Award Amount: $1,000

Applications close on February 28 each year.
