Tuesday, December 6, 2016 Time for Reflection Local 151 Newsletters Construction Another year has come and gone. Many of us look forward to the New Year with hope and anticipation. We make resolutions in hope that our willpower will be greater this year and we will reach our goals. We dream of changes that will make us healthier and happier. But what about last year? Have you reflected on it? Did it live up to your expectations? Did you reach your goals? What did you learn? The end of the year gives us the opportunity to step back, examine our lives, and reflect and celebrate. It gives us a chance to take inventory of our lives and provides us with direction for next year. We are often busy with work, family, and life in general. The idea of taking time to reflect on the past year may be difficult, but the rewards can be great. Reflection can help us find meaning. Here are some questions to help put your year in perspective. 1. What did I learn (skills, knowledge, awareness, etc.)? 2. What did I accomplish (my wins and achievements)? 3. What would I have done differently? Why? 4. What did I complete or release? What still feels incomplete? 5. What were the three most significant events of the past year? 6. What did I do right? What do I feel especially good about? 7. What were the fun things I did? 8. What were my biggest roadblocks/challenges/difficulties? 9. How am I different this year than last? 10. For what am I particularly grateful? I hope that upon reflection, you are able to find meaning and appreciation for the past year and that it has been all you hoped for. CLAC wants to thank you for allowing us to be a part of your year, and we look forward to serving you in the New Year. We wish you all the success and best wishes for the New Year.
