Kevin Krysko Kevin is a devoted family man with a wife, Darlene, and two daughters, Zoe and Aya. He was born and lives in Edmonton and has worked all over Alberta and northern BC in the oil and gas industry for 18 years. He is a scaffold erector who is currently working for Brock Field Services at Kearl Lake on a maintenance contract. Kevin’s passion for his trade and the people he works with are why he became a steward. He has been a steward on several different sites with different companies and has been involved in bargaining committees. Since becoming a steward, he has worked at improving his skills and knowledge to best represent his Local 63 brothers and sisters. “Being voted onto the board by my peers is an honour,” says Kevin. “As a long-time steward, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know many other stewards and representatives and work with them on a personal and professional level. I attended my first board meeting in February. It’s a great feeling to unite with others who have the best interests of Local 63 members at heart as I do, and knowing that I can assist all Local 63 members and not be confined to a particular work site. I will be sincere, understanding, ethical, and exhibit compassion, as I always have, while collaborating with the other amazing board members. We will represent the members to the best of our ability while building strong work communities through respect, dignity, and fairness.” Kevin Kiddie Kevin has worked as a steamfitter-pipefitter with Ledcor, Canonbie, and PCL Energy. He is now at Albian Sands with Aecom Maintenance. Over the past 30-plus years, Kevin has worked in various union and nonunion environments. He believes CLAC’s model is the most productive and beneficial for labour-management relations. As a dedicated steward, he has been involved in grievance procedures and collective agreement negotiations, including the largest ratification in Local 63 history. “I’d like to thank our members for my nomination and election to the Local 63 Board, and I hope to serve you well,” says Kevin. “I am excited and eager to support the membership as a board member because it is a new challenge that will give me more insight into Local 63 objectives and inner workings, which will ultimately allow me to better represent and serve our members. After recently attending my first board meeting, I got the impression that the whole process was very professional and well-organized and that the board members are a determined and committed bunch.” Your Local 63 Board members Wayne Lodge – President Colin Pottie – Vice President Kevin Kiddie – Secretary Chad Henderson – Treasurer Frantz Maignan – Member at Large Kevin Krysko – Member at Large What does your local board do?
