The Power of Your Voice
Imagine a world where no one had a say, where everyone just nodded along. Sounds boring, right?
You might feel that if you speak up about a concern, it might go unheard, or nobody would do anything about it.
But guess what? When you speak up, you might encourage someone else who has the same experience to join the conversation.
You never know who is going through the same thing if you never speak up.
Remember that your voice is not just a sound. It can create a ripple effect that brings about meaningful change.
Always remember that your managers do not know everything going on in your workplace. It’s simple to think they know everything, but in reality, they might not know the whole picture.
By speaking up, you not only help in solving your concerns, but it can also help in shaping the future of your workplace. Your voice can influence future polices, and procedures. By speaking up, you are helping everyone work better together.
If you have a story about speaking up in your workplace, let us know about it and we can add it to the next newsletter. Email Geoff at gdueckthiessen@clac.ca or Nnedi at nagu@clac.ca.
