There are also improvements to vision, life insurance, and dental benefits along with the introduction of a shift premium for all staff working afternoons and evening shifts. “Our members were very pleased with the progress made during this round of bargaining,” says Kevin Gates, CLAC representative. “The members working at The Beechwood are working harder than ever with increased workload and rising acuity levels in residents, so we are very pleased to have achieved such a good outcome.” You might be interested in Standing Your Ground, and Staying Steady on the Job 4 Jun 2026 CLAC Partners with Alberta Government to Advance Skilled Trades Training and Accelerate Certification 4 Jun 2026 Strathcona Mechanical Workers Ratify New Agreement Providing Wage, Scheduling Improvements 3 Jun 2026 Ready to Deliver 3 Jun 2026
