Friday, May 7, 2021 Strathcona Mechanical Employees Unanimously Ratify New Contract Locals Local 63 Ratifications Sectors Construction Calgary—Local 63 members employed as plumbers by Strathcona Mechanical Limited unanimously ratified a new collective agreement. Local 63 has represented the membership at Strathcona since 1997. The two-year contract includes good monetary conditions while maintaining current wage levels. Members will be starting work soon on the $62 million Vivo Recreation Centre expansion. Strathcona, which is based in Leduc, has a history of working on large commercial projects including the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, University of Lethbridge, and a number of other public projects, including schools as well as hotels.
