Ratifications

Borea Construction ULC

Members ratified a 2-year agreement providing them with 4% wage increases and 2% in 2025. Members will also receive additional compensation for daily travel, living-out allowance, and for working up tower, as well as stronger language on progression through the wage grid and other protections for working during the night shift.

Integral Energy Services Ltd.

Members ratified a 26-month agreement providing a 4.3% increase to the base wage rate, bringing it to $48.30/hr. And the base wage rate for maintenance employees working on a compressed shift cycle increases to $49.09/hr. Calgary commercial electricians received a 4% increase.

LTS Build Services Ltd.

Members ratified a 2-year agreement providing them with 2% wage increases for employees in the civil division and 7% for those working as splicers in the first year of the contract and 2% total compensation increases in year 2. The settlement also includes a new $250 boot allowance, increases to the night-shift and steward premiums, and long term incentives for increased vacation pay. The contract provides improved contract language surrounding tool lists and tool storage as well as for annual employee performance reviews and evaluations. The company also signed on to CLAC’s new training model, which provides members with greater training opportunities.

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. – Fabrication

Members ratified a 32-month agreement providing them with a 6.5% wage increase; increases to their RRSP, boot allowance, and prescription eyewear; and long term incentives for matching RRSP contributions.

Primoris Mine Services (Canada) LP

Members ratified a 2-year agreement providing them with a 4% increase to base wage rates. In addition, employer contributions to members’ RSPs increases from $2.50 to $3.00/hr. Other improvements include an increase to prescription safety eyewear allowance from $250 to $300 per year, a new premium for members holding dual tickets, and vacation pay and statutory holidays now will be for all hours worked per week instead of 40 hours.

Rozen Steelworks Inc.

Members ratified a 2-year agreement providing a 5% wage increase. Other improvements include enhanced responsibilities and experience premiums, a $300 personal protective equipment annual allowance, and improved contract language in several key articles and wage schedule notes.

Strathcona Mechanical Limited

Members ratified a 1-year agreement providing them with a 4.5 percent wage increase.

WB Melback Corporation

Members unanimously ratified a 2-year agreement providing them with an 11% wage increase with a wage review in April 2024. The members’ benefits plan was also improved.

Weston Construction Alberta Ltd.

Members employed by this Calgary-based contractor unanimously ratified their first agreement. The 32-month contract provides them with competitive wages, employer-paid benefits through CLAC’s plan, a retirement package, and a solid training model.
