Local 6 members employed by Alder Concrete are insulating concrete form (ICF) specialists. They lead the way in a growing market and have become the trusted source for this innovative product. ICF blocks are stacked up and filled with concrete. They come with internal stabilizers to attach rebar to, and once built, you can screw drywall directly to the foam or nail on siding. ICF dramatically improves the insulation value of a concrete wall. A standard 8” concrete house foundation is rated R1.35, and the same 8” concrete poured into an ICF foundation is rated R22. That’s 16 times more energy efficient!
