Wednesday, February 9, 2022 Bargaining Updates Locals Local 920 Newsletters Ontario Emergency Services Sectors Emergency Medical Services Clarence-Rockland Local 920 members in Clarence-Rockland ratified a new collective agreement early in 2022 providing members with a 12% increase over the 4-year term. Clarence-Rockland is located east of Ottawa and is home to 2 volunteer stations and 1 composite station. This renewal came with new language to protect members who are moving to a platooning system at the composite station located in Rockland. In addition, members will also receive paid training related to mental health in the workplace as well as leather boots sooner. Quinte West and Belleville Local 920 members in Quinte West and Belleville are in negotiations and look forward to a new settlement by the second quarter of 2022. City of Greater Sudbury Local 920 members in the City of Greater Sudbury continue the collective bargaining process with the fire services management team and hope to conclude bargaining in the coming weeks. Each member of the bargaining committee continues to both demonstrate their commitment to the volunteer firefighters as well as their skill at the bargaining table as they seek to negotiate a fair settlement for everyone.
