Tuesday, July 16, 2024 Matcon Employees Overwhelmingly Ratify New Three-Year Contract Locals Local 68 Ratifications Sectors Construction Coquitlam, BC—Local 68 members employed by Matcon Excavation and Shoring Ltd., based in Coquitlam, BC, overwhelmingly voted in favour of ratifying a three-year collective agreement. The new contract provides members with annual five percent wage increases and an enhanced benefits plan. “The union bargaining committee worked very hard to hear members’ concerns and address them by working with the company and negotiating an excellent settlement,” says Jamie Wade, representative. “We’re pleased the agreement received such strong endorsement from the membership.
