Friday, August 23, 2024 Cooperate to Win Creating a culture where every voice is heard and valued Newsletters Manitoba Local 306 CLAC’s recent Cooperate to Win session with Save-On-Foods was a big success! The session brought together managers and CLAC stewards to focus on strengthening collaboration and fostering a positive workplace culture where teamwork drives success. We explored practical strategies to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and create a culture where every voice is heard and valued without spiralling into unnecessary conflict. We also learned important labour relations concepts like - the importance of fairness and consistency when enforcing rules; - when and how to refuse work; - following the right process to determine appropriate employee discipline. By learning and practicing these concepts together, managers and stewards have the best chance of working together to achieve a positive, safe, and productive workplace culture.
