Indigenous Initiatives

Our innovative training-to-employment programs are designed to support Canada’s Indigenous peoples in gaining the skills training they need to build rewarding, well-paying careers in Canada's construction industry.

The programs are developed in partnership with Indigenous communities, industry stakeholders, and provincial and federal governments.

Each program is tailor-made to suit the community’s needs. Programs typically run between two weeks to sixteen weeks in length, depending on the training needs of each community. Participants earn multiple safety tickets and develop life skills and employment readiness to help overcome personal challenges and succeed in the workplace.

Once training is complete, participants who meet the job placement criteria are connected directly with opportunities in the construction industry.

If you are interested in exploring training opportunities for yourself or your community, reach out to your local training team.
