This course will provide learners with the basics of overexposure to silica. Topics such as health effects of overexposure to silica, legislation and guidelines, and control measures will be explored in detail. By the end of this program, learners will be able to:

  • Identify legislation and guidelines for respirable silica
  • Identify the different levels of silica exposure and the risk associated with each
  • Identify controls that can be implemented to minimize overexposure to respirable silica
