Welding – CWB Testing

CLAC Training offers regularly scheduled test days for welders to complete their CSA W47.1 welder qualification. Testing is offered for the following processes in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions:

  • SMAW (shielded metal arc welding)
  • FCAW (flux-cored arc welding)
  • MCAW (metal-cored arc welding)
  • GMAW (gas metal arc welding)
  • GTAW (gas tungsten arc welding)
  • T-Class*
  • Sheet Test – call for a quote

Non-Member/Public Price: $160 per position or $640 all positions

SMAW (shielded metal arc welding) and FCAW (flux-cored arc welding)

The cost includes three full days of CWB FCAW & SMAW training including taxes.

Non-Member/Public Price: $1,175

*Due to CWB Policy changes, CWB bookings must be scheduled with a minimum of 48 hours advance notice.

  • For Thursday testing, requests must be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
  • For Friday testing, requests must be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
