Scaffolder Journeyperson Program – Second Year

CLAC Career Development College is an accredited training institute for the Scaffold & Access Industry Association (SAIA), providing training for all levels – from beginner to journeyperson.

The SAIA Scaffolder Journeyperson Program is an apprenticeship-style program which includes theory and practical training to keep you safe, skilled and certified to work on any job site. This program was developed based on the provincial OH&S code, best practices, CSA Standard Z797-18, and the Scaffold & Access Industry Association (SAIA).


Program Highlights

Level two instructs students to build more advanced scaffolds. Instruction covers proper and safe work practices, basic blueprinting, and independent structure scaffolds including towers with buttresses, towers with cantilevers, area scaffolds, and scaffold runs. Successful completion of the program grants third year apprentice status.


Prerequisite:

  • Documented proof of 3,200 scaffolding hours
  • SAIA 2nd Year Scaffolder Certification (completion of Level 1)
  • Valid Fall Protection certification
