The Alberta Dual Ticket & Upskilling Initiative is a collaborative initiative between Government, Industry, Labour and Training Partners to help experienced tradespeople earn additional certifications while continuing to work. This Initiative is launching with selected priority trades and an initial pilot cohort of learners. As participation grows and industry demand continues to shape the program, additional pathways, resources, and supports will be introduced to expand opportunities for workers and contractors across Alberta, and Canada at large. For a limited time, the Government of Alberta is subsidizing 75% of a course’s enrolment fee for Alberta Residents taking part in the Alberta Dual Ticket & Upskilling initiative. Additionally, CLAC members, regardless of province, can receive up to $1,150 in course cost reimbursement through the Apprenticeship Reimbursement Program, subject to eligibility requirements.
