Friday, December 21, 2018 Workers at PCL Builders See Improved Evaluation Process in New Contract Local 63 Ratifications Calgary—Approximately 400 Local 63 members employed by PCL Builders Inc. voted 75 percent in favour of a renewed collective agreement. The members work at commercial construction projects across Alberta. Highlights of the two-year contract include an improved evaluation process for feedback and career advancement of employees. Workers in southern Alberta will see an increase of 1.25 percent in 2019, while northern Alberta workers will receive a 1 percent increase. Similar increases are scheduled for 2020, subject to a further wage review. There were also improvements to the night-shift premium and boot allowance. “We are pleased with the settlement that was reached and the relatively strong support for the contract from members with PBI and look forward to two positive years ahead throughout the duration of this agreement,” says Brendan Kooy, CLAC representative.
