Monday, June 22, 2026 Winnipeg Construction Workers Secure Wage and Retirement Gains in New Aecon Agreement Local 152 Ratifications Construction Winnipeg, MB—Employees of Aecon Construction Solutions, a construction and infrastructure contractor operating in Winnipeg and Niverville, ratified a new collective agreement delivering wage increases, enhanced retirement contributions, and improved workplace protections. The employees are represented by Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 152, which has represented the company’s employees since 2017. The group voted in favour of the sixteen-month agreement securing a three percent wage increase, along with a two percent increase to employer retirement contributions. The agreement also includes improvements to electrical apprenticeship progression, enhanced premiums for lead hands, forepersons, and night shift work, and updated overtime calculation provisions.
