Locals Local 501 Newsletters BC Local 501 CLAC Scholarships Congratulations to Local 501 members Ishnoor Ishnoor and Eric Janzen, who each won a $1,500 CLAC scholarship for the 2021-2022 academic year. Ishnoor is employed by Communitas Supportive Care Society. She is in the Practical Nursing program at CDI College. Eric is employed by Bethesda Christian Association. He is in the Theology and Culture program at Saint Stephens University. Building Communities Motionball received a $1,500 donation from CLAC as part of the union’s Building Communities program. The organization was nominated by Local 501 member Haydee Tanilon, who is employed by Interior HomeCare Solutions. “The donation from CLAC will be directed to support programs for local athletes in the community,” says Haydee. “Seventy percent of net funds go to support BC Special Olympics, 25 percent goes to support Special Olympics nationally, and the remaining 5 percent goes to the No Good Way campaign.
