Wilkinson Construction Employees Secure Significant Wage Increases with New Contract

Toronto—Local 52 members employed by Wilkinson Construction Services Inc. voted in favour of a new three-year collective agreement providing them with annual wage increases along with other improvements.

The members, who are employed mainly as carpenters, labourers, and operators, will see their wages increase significantly by 25 percent over the term including a 10 percent increase in year one.

“The bargaining committee prioritized wages in this fluid economic climate and ensured that the needs of the members were addressed,” says Randy Parris, CLAC representative. “Negotiations were difficult, but it resulted in an agreement that the majority were in favour of.”

Wilkinson Construction Services Inc. is a general contractor in the GTA that specializes in the design and build of residential construction.
