Saturday, August 1, 2026 Westview Projects Employees Approve New Agreement with Wage and Classification Improvements Local 52 Ratifications Construction CARP, ON—Employees of Westview Projects Inc., a construction management company serving institutional, commercial, and multi-residential clients, unanimously ratified a three-year collective agreement providing wage increases, improved retirement contributions, and enhanced premiums. The employees are represented by Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 52. The union has represented the company’s employees since 2020. The group, which includes lead hands, licensed carpenters, skilled hands, and labourers, voted 100 percent in favour of the agreement, which runs from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2029. The agreement introduces a new wage structure with defined classifications, including rates of $46.00 per hour for lead hands and $45.00 per hour for licensed carpenters, along with increases across all other roles. Employees also benefit from a structured wage progression plan, including additional increases of three percent in both the second and third years of the agreement. The agreement further includes an increase in employer retirement contributions to eight percent, an increase to the daily meal allowance to $69.00, and enhanced benefits funding with increased premiums and expanded vision coverage up to $500. “This agreement brings greater clarity and structure to roles across the workforce,” says Gord O’Coin, CLAC representative. “By establishing clear classifications, competitive wages, and improved retirement and benefit provisions, it supports both current needs and long-term growth for the workforce.” Westview Projects Inc. provides construction management services, with employees supporting institutional, commercial, and multi-residential projects across eastern Ontario and the surrounding region.
