Tuesday, April 18, 2023 Weston Construction Employees Unanimously Ratify First Contract Locals Local 63 Ratifications Sectors Construction Edmonton—Local 63 members employed by Weston Construction Alberta Ltd., who joined the local in February, unanimously ratified their first collective agreement. The 32-month agreement provides members with competitive wages, employer-paid benefits through CLAC’s plan, a retirement package, and a solid training model. The 16 labourers are currently working on the West LRT project in Edmonton. “These previously nonunion workers had been courted by other unions but instead approached CLAC for representation,” says Matthew Guay, representative. “They had previously worked for other CLAC-signatory contractors and are excited to be part of CLAC again.” You might be interested in Skill and Care on the Milk Route 17 Sep 2026 Building Skills, Growing Careers 15 Sep 2026 CLAC's Statement on Canada's Energy Future 14 Sep 2026 Seeing Clearly 13 Sep 2026
