The 32-month agreement provides members with competitive wages, employer-paid benefits through CLAC’s plan, a retirement package, and a solid training model. The 16 labourers are currently working on the West LRT project in Edmonton. “These previously nonunion workers had been courted by other unions but instead approached CLAC for representation,” says Matthew Guay, representative. “They had previously worked for other CLAC-signatory contractors and are excited to be part of CLAC again.” You might be interested in Why We Work Safely 5 Jun 2026 Standing Your Ground, and Staying Steady on the Job 4 Jun 2026 CLAC Partners with Alberta Government to Advance Skilled Trades Training and Accelerate Certification 4 Jun 2026 Strathcona Mechanical Workers Ratify New Agreement Providing Wage, Scheduling Improvements 3 Jun 2026
