Locals Local 920 Newsletters Ontario Emergency Services Since COVID-19 became the phenomenon it is, Belleville volunteers have been depleting faster then they were being replaced. After a long grievance process in July 2021, under the direction of the new fire chief, a recruit orientation was held, and nine new volunteers began the process to join the ranks. The new recruits are now in the first recruit training program for Bellville fire and emergency services where they will receive the basics of firefighting, preparing them for the journey into the world of volunteer firefighting. A graduation ceremony was held August 28, where they became active members of the fire service and new members of local 920. Congratulations and welcome!
