The company called back all their layoffs, including part-timers. “Folks are very happy to be back at work,” says Andres Acuna, who is a steward and member of the Local 56 Board. “Many of our members had been laid off for well over a year. Garda is hiring new managers, which is great as it will bring more opportunities for our members.” Now Hiring! GardaWorld is now actively hiring screening officers at YYC again. The starting wage for a screening officer at YYC is $20.47 per hour, progressing up to $26.35 per hour after approximately 3 to 5 years of service.
