Wednesday, April 3, 2019 Village on the Ridge Employees Secure Improved Wages, Benefits with New Contract Ratifications Ridgetown, ON—Employees of Village on the Ridge Retirement Residence have ratified a three-year collective agreement that will provide wage and benefits increases, as well as improvements to the weekend premium. The 88 employees are represented by Southwestern Ontario Health Care and Service Workers Union, CLAC Local 303. The tentative settlement negotiated on their behalf was approved with overwhelming support. “It’s difficult in this climate to provide for a satisfactory settlement for all parties,” says Trish Douma, CLAC regional director. “Our members are dedicated to the community in which they serve and we are dedicated to improving their work lives.” CLAC Local 303 has represented the workers at Village on the Ridge since 1995.
