Vacation Pay Payouts Now Available by Direct Deposit

Great news for those who hate cashing cheques: you can now choose direct deposit as a payout option to withdraw your vacation pay funds!

Here’s what you need to know:

Members who would like to set up direct deposit will need to submit valid banking information (in the form of a void cheque or direct deposit form in their name) by mail, fax, or email to the CLAC Vacation Pay Team. Note that sending personal information through fax or email is not secure, and you accept full responsibility for its transmission.

• Once your direct deposit information has been set up on your account, you will receive all future payouts by direct deposit, unless you choose otherwise.

• If you have a valid email address on file, you will receive an email notification when your direct deposit transaction has been processed. Direct deposit payments take four to six business days.

• You can still receive a cheque in lieu of direct deposit, even if you have banking information on file. Choose the applicable payout option when making your withdrawal request, either online on myCLAC or through the CLAC Vacation Pay Team. We continue to offer pickup, mail, and courier options for cheques. (Note that the courier fee will increase from $25 to $35 on September 24, 2022.)

Check your vacation pay account balance and process a payout at any time on myCLAC.
