Tuesday, October 28, 2025 United Mennonite Home Workers Ratify New Contract Ratifications Sectors Healthcare VINELAND, ON—Local 302 members employed by the United Mennonite Home for the Aged recently ratified a two-year collective agreement. The contract provides raises of 3.5 percent for most classifications, as well as improvements to the vision allowance, weekend premium, and vacation grid. Registered nurses, registered practical nurses, personal support workers, and recreational therapists received additional adjustments. Local 302 has represented the approximately 210 staff—including cooks, custodial staff, PSWs, RNs, RPNs, and RTs—since 1978. “The union is pleased that we were able to secure wage increases that make us competitive with the industry and will allow the employer to attract and retain staff,” says Isobel Farrell, representative.
