Thursday, August 17, 2017 United Mennonite Home Employees Ratify New Contract Locals Local 302 Vineland, ON—Employees working at United Mennonite Home for the Aged have ratified a new three-year collective agreement. The contract was negotiated by Niagara Health and Service Workers Union, CLAC Local 302. Highlights of the contract include 1.4 percent across-the-board increases and special wage adjustments for registered nurses, registered practical nurses, and the handyman classifications, as well as the introduction of a 10 cents per hour premium for dietary aides who have completed their food service worker certificate. There were improvements to scheduling, the vacation grid, weekend premium, and vision allowance. A new parental leave supplemental employment benefit payment was also introduced.
