Wednesday, November 5, 2025 Twiss Electric Employees Ratify New Three-Year Agreement Local 52 Ratifications Construction BURLINGTON, ON—Local 52 members employed by Twiss Electric Ltd., an electrical contractor based in Burlington, Ontario, voted 83 percent in favour of a three-year collective agreement. The new contract provides members with wage increases totaling more than nine percent over the term, plus an extra one percent in employer-paid pension contributions. Members also secured a $150 increase to their boot and tool allowance, bringing the total overall monetary improvement to more than 9.5 percent over the term. “The union bargaining committee worked hard to make sure that everyone had an opportunity to share their proposals and opinions,” says Josh Vanderlaan, representative. “We achieved a settlement that secures strong wage gains and addresses many other items in our collective agreement.” Twiss Electric Ltd. is an electrical contractor employing 45 Local 52 members working at job sites throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
