The two-year contract includes wage increases for the civil division of 1.5 percent effective July 1, 2021, and another 1.5 percent increase effective March 1, 2022. A wage review is scheduled for March 2023. The majority of TWI’s employees are working in the Calgary region on a number of civil construction projects. A smaller number of members are working at two sites in the Fort McMurray region. “The negotiation process was effective with strong endorsement of the settlement by the membership,” says Izzy Huygen, CLAC representative. “That the agreement includes three percent wage rate increases for the civil construction sector is a positive sign for a recovering economy and construction sector.” You might be interested in Skill and Care on the Milk Route 17 Sep 2026 Building Skills, Growing Careers 15 Sep 2026 CLAC's Statement on Canada's Energy Future 14 Sep 2026 Seeing Clearly 13 Sep 2026
