Tuesday, November 3, 2020 TRU Names New Atrium in CLAC’s Honour Newsletters BC Local 68 In early 2020, just before the pandemic, CLAC celebrated the naming of an atrium at Thompson Rivers University (TRU), christened the CLAC Industrial Training and Technology Centre (ITTC). CLAC has been happy to partner with TRU for the development and delivery of training programs. Our continued support has resulted in the naming of the ITTC atrium in our honour. “We are proud to continue our relationship with Thompson Rivers University,” says Larry Richardson, CLAC Training BC director. “TRU shares our belief that innovative program delivery is vital for the promotion of trades and technical training and apprenticeship in BC to adapt to the changing needs of industry and the workforce.” CLAC has collaborated with TRU through providing equipment donations, and members have benefitted from the sharing of TRU instructors for CLAC training programs. TRU’s offering of a diverse range of programs to support people at all stages of their career journey supports CLAC’s objectives of improving the health and success of today’s and tomorrow’s workforce.
