Training Corner—Alberta, Fall 2019

New scaffolder programs and more!

New Scaffolder Program and Other CLAC Training Initiatives

CLAC Training in Alberta has launched a number of new initiatives recently.

  • We launched a new scaffolding program that meets and exceeds the recent changes to occupational health and safety and CSA standards regarding scaffolder training expectations. The program’s three levels of training have been expanded to include practical experience and in-depth theory.
  • CLAC Training’s new scaffolder training facility in the Edmonton Member Centre was opened on September 27, with an open hours barbecue so people could tour the facility and see first hand our new program.
  • In conjunction with a number of partners, CLAC Training has launched the online tutorial for the Canadian Model for drug and alcohol testing.
  • A new version of CSTS will be introduced in the next few months. Stay tuned for more information.

If you have any training needs, please get in contact with our well-trained and helpful staff at 888-700-7555 or by email at abtraining@clac.ca or welding@clac.ca for welding-related inquiries.
