While some toxic workplaces are due to bad bosses—incompetent, uncaring, or plain old jerks—some are created by bad employee behaviours. Here are some of the most obnoxious ones, according to a survey of 811 professionals conducted by signs.com.

10 Behaviours Managers Dislike the Most

  1. Show up late—all the time (90%).
  2. Cough, cough—abuse time off and call in sick when you’re not (86%).
  3. Show up hungover—or worse, drunk or high (85%).
  4. Pad the company expense account (84%).
  5. Shout at your coworkers—nothing gets under people’s skin like a loud mouth (84%).
  6. Put the moves on someone at work when they’re clearly not interested (83%).
  7. Screw up—and let a coworker take the blame (81%).
  8. Stay glued to social media (80%).
  9. Call your friends and family constantly (77%).
  10. Crack an inappropriate or offensive joke (76%).
