All causes and amounts are selected at random from qualified nominations. In June, Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council, nominated by Local 6 member Viktor Vangelov, who is employed by Alder Construction Ltd., won a $2,500 donation from CLAC. “Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council is a nonprofit organization that engages individuals, families, and organizations to increase their participation in suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention,” says Viktor. “The council works to reduce suicidal behaviour and its impact on individuals, families, and communities. This donation will go a long way with helping those who are struggling in our community.” James Koopman (CLAC representative), Elisa Brewer- Singh (WRSPC executive director), Viktor Vangelov Previous Next You might be interested in Standing Your Ground, and Staying Steady on the Job 4 Jun 2026 CLAC Partners with Alberta Government to Advance Skilled Trades Training and Accelerate Certification 4 Jun 2026 Strathcona Mechanical Workers Ratify New Agreement Providing Wage, Scheduling Improvements 3 Jun 2026 Ready to Deliver 3 Jun 2026
