Strong Wage Improvement for Glenile Services Employees

Woodstock, ON—A renewed collective agreement has been secured for the employees of Woodstock-based electrical contractor Glenile Services providing them with strong wage improvement.

The union membership unanimously ratified the settlement negotiated by their union, Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 53. Terms of the three-year agreement take effect June 1, 2022.

The contract focused heavily on improvement to hourly wage rates. Licensed electricians will see total package compensation improvement of $9.12 per hour over the three-year term. The settlement also provides improvements to contributions to healthcare benefits, travel compensation, and living-out allowances.

“We’re pleased to deliver this strong settlement to the membership,” says Roger Grootenboer, CLAC representative. “The terms provide security and compensation for our members—excellent wages, strong healthcare benefits, and a solid pension plan they can trust.”
