Tuesday, March 14, 2017 Strong Increases for Members at Topline Electric Locals Local 52 Ratifications Sectors Construction Sault Ste. Marie and Burlington, ON—Local 52 members employed by Topline Electric recently ratified a new three-year collective agreement. The contract provides three-percent wage increases, enhanced travel and transportation provisions, an increase to $250 for protective equipment and apparel, and clarified on-call language. In addition, journeyperson employees will receive seven percent employer-paid pension contributions, with an additional three-percent matching contribution. Approximately 80 journeyperson and apprentice electricians and labourers are employed by Topline. They work primarily in north-eastern and southern Ontario on commercial and residential projects.
