Strong Gains for Faugh Electric Employees with New Contract

Kitchener, ON—Employees of Faugh Electric Inc., based in Kitchener, unanimously ratified a three-year collective agreement providing them with strong gains. The settlement was negotiated by their union, Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 6.

The new contract, which takes effect April 1, 2023, provides journeypersons with total wage increases of $8.08 per hour (16.5 percent) over the term. Along with significant annual wage increases of 7.5 percent on April 1, 2023, and 4.5 percent each following April, the settlement also provides increased pension contributions, improved out-of-town allowances and travel provisions, and an accelerated pay grid for entry level apprentices.
