Friday, February 28, 2025 Steady Wage Gains for Network Site Services Employees with New Contract Locals Local 6 Ratifications Sectors Construction Cambridge, ON—Employees of Network Site Services Ltd., an excavating contractor based in Cambridge, Ontario, voted in favour of ratifying a three-year collective agreement providing them with steady wage gains and other improvements. The employees are represented by Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 6. The union has represented the company’s employees since 2016. The new contract provides employees with an 8 percent wage increase over the term as well as an increase in employer contributions to their retirement savings from 10 to 12 percent of gross wages by 2026. Other improvements include an increase to the life insurance payout to $70,000 and an increase to vision-care coverage to $500 every 2 years. “This contract provides a steady wage increase for our members employed by Network,” says Marco Mueller, CLAC representative. “It builds on what was already a strong agreement. The additional increase to pension contributions offers greater stability for our members and their families over the long term. We’re pleased that the membership voted in favour of the negotiated settlement.” Network Site Services provides installation services for sewer and watermain infrastructure and underground utilities in southern Ontario, including the Tri-cities region, Guelph, Hamilton, Niagara, and Toronto. The company currently employs 35 CLAC Local 6 operators, pipefitters, labourers, truck drivers, and electricians.
