Monday, November 12, 2018 Solid Wage Gains for Executive Hotels Employees Locals Local 501 Ratifications Sectors Hospitality Vancouver—Local 501 members employed by Executive Hotels and Resorts ratified a new collective agreement providing them with solid wage gains over the four-year term. Over 240 members work in Executive Hotels’ Vancouver locations as bartenders, servers, bellpersons, and housekeeping and front desk staff. The members will receive three percent wage increases in each of the first two years of the contract and two percent each year for the last two years. They will also receive increases to their pension contributions. “We made some good gains with respect to wages,” says Don Mundy, CLAC representative. “The negotiations process was long and helped in part by a labour board-appointed mediator. We’re looking forward to moving on and working with the membership to continue to improve their work environment.” You might be interested in Standing Your Ground, and Staying Steady on the Job 4 Jun 2026 CLAC Partners with Alberta Government to Advance Skilled Trades Training and Accelerate Certification 4 Jun 2026 Strathcona Mechanical Workers Ratify New Agreement Providing Wage, Scheduling Improvements 3 Jun 2026 Ready to Deliver 3 Jun 2026
