Monday, August 7, 2017 Society for Selections Receives $1,000 News CLAC supports local communities through the Building Communities program.Twice per year, up to 15 causes nominated by CLAC members win a donation of $1,000, $1,500, or $2,500 through a random draw. One cause nominated by a Local 301 member won in the June draw. The deadline for the December draw is November 30! The Society for Selections: A Career Support Service received a $1,000 donation. It was nominated by Tyler Travnik, who is employed by Save-On-Foods in Sherwood Park, Alberta. "This is an Edmonton-based non-profit organization dedicated to supporting an inclusive workforce that empowers individuals with disabilities,” says Tyler. “This donation will help the organization to continue providing ongoing support to individuals with developmental disabilities and their respective employers.” You can view all the winners on Facebook.
