Sunday, April 29, 2018 Skills Saskatchewan Celebrates a Milestone Local 151 Newsletters Skills Saskatchewan celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2018. This is a great accomplishment as they continue to showcase the importance and opportunities of the skilled trades to the youth of Saskatchewan. Skills Saskatchewan has seen tremendous growth over the years. For years, the competitions had to be held in various schools in different cities in order to accommodate everyone and everything. Today, the competition runs as a standalone event. The 2018 Skills event was held in Regina’s EVRAZ Place and featured over 500 competitors. Attending this year’s competitions were over 2,200 students from Regina and area schools. CLAC is proud to be a silver sponsor of Skills Saskatchewan and a part of the growing success of the organization. We are happy to help shine a spotlight on the opportunities that our youth can have in the skilled trades. The importance of the skilled trades is key to CLAC.
