Wednesday, March 1, 2023 Skills Canada Competition Newsletters Manitoba Local 152 The Skills Canada Manitoba Competition will take place on Thursday, April 13. High school, postsecondary, and apprentice students will compete in 42 skilled trades and technology contests in six industry sectors. Students participate in challenges designed to test skills required in trades and technology careers. The philosophy of the skills competition is to reward students for excellence, directly involve industry in evaluating student performance, and keep training programs relevant to employers’ needs. From May 24 to 27, Manitoba will be hosting teams from across Canada competing in the National Skills Canada Competition. CLAC is a proud sponsor of both the provincial and national skills competitions and will have a booth presence at both.
