Monday, April 4, 2022 Significant Wage Improvements for D. Grant Construction Employees Locals Local 53 Ratifications Sectors Construction London, ON—Employees of London-based general contractor D. Grant Construction Limited ratified a three-year collective agreement providing them with significant improvements to wages, pensions, and benefits. The employees are represented by Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 53. The union has represented them since 2012. A strong majority of employees voted in favour of the three-year contract, which focuses heavily on improvements to hourly wage rates. Licensed carpenters, skilled labourers, and truck drivers will see total package compensation improvement of 18.6 percent over the contract’s term. The agreement also cements improvements to employer contributions to healthcare benefits and pensions.
