Sunday, September 5, 2021 Save-On-Foods Reopens in Fort McMurray In June, 2021, Save-On-Foods reopened its downtown Fort McMurray store after a year-long closure, which was due to disastrous flooding in the spring of 2020 Locals Local 301 Newsletters Alberta Local 301 This was the second time in recent years that this store celebrated reopening after a natural disaster. Five years ago, the same store was forced to close for a year following the Fort McMurray wildfires. The community of Fort McMurray, McMurray Métis, and Save-On-Foods employees across the city came out to celebrate the grand reopening of the newly renovated store.
