Thursday, December 11, 2025 Save-On-Foods Employees Secure Wage, Other Gains with New Province-Wide Contract Local 301 Ratifications Retail EDMONTON—Save-On-Foods employees across Alberta voted 78 percent in favour of a new five-year collective agreement that provides them with retroactive wage increases and other improvements. The over 4,000 employees working in 49 Save-On-Foods stores across the province are represented by Retail, Healthcare, and Service Employees Union, CLAC Local 301. The union has represented Save-On-Foods employees since 1989. The renewed agreement includes hourly wage increases retroactive to June, additional premiums, improved vacation flexibility, a new safety footwear reimbursement, paid leadership training for new full-time promotions, and improvements to bereavement leave language. “Members can be proud of the improvements achieved in this round of bargaining,” says Mike Montague, CLAC representative. “This agreement recognizes their dedication and hard work and delivers meaningful gains that support their growth.” CLAC extends sincere thanks to the members of the union bargaining committee for their time, energy, and commitment throughout negotiations.
