Monday, February 6, 2023 Safe Access Employees Overwhelmingly Ratify New Contract Locals Local 63 Ratifications Sectors Construction Calgary—Local 63 members employed by Safe Access Scaffold Ltd. voted 90 percent in favour of ratifying a two-year collective agreement securing wage increases. The new contract provides members with a 5.5 percent wage increase, bringing them in line with other scaffolding companies in Alberta. Other improvements include the addition of the National Day for Truth and reconciliation as a statutory holiday, an increase in the stewards premium, and minor contract language changes. The 20 scaffolders and labourers work on commercial scaffolding projects in the Calgary area.
