Rozen Steel Works Employees Strongly Support First Contract
Strong gains made
Edmonton—CLAC Local 63 members employed by Rozen Steel Works voted 93 percent in favour of their first collective agreement.
The contract includes competitive wage schedules for both the pipe and structural shops, with a significant number of employees seeing raises. Employees will also receive retirement contributions for the first time and increased benefits coverage in 2022 and 2023. The company will also contribute to the union’s training fund for employee training.
Rozen Steel Works is a steel fabrication company employing approximately 85 employees in two locations—a structural fabrication shop in Nisku and a pipe fabrication shop in Spruce Grove. The employees joined Local 63 in November 2021.
